Get Japanese moleskin accordion books, a tiny watercolor set or colored pencils and your favorite gel pen (mine’s a classic G2 .05).

Every morning with your cappuccino or during a late afternoon pick-me-up at a cafe/bar, you and your significant other and your pals and whoever else you’re with draws whatever you did the day before.

The inside jokes, the ratings for each dish, the sights you saw, the people you met, the things you bought.

There is no better way to memorialize a trip even if you’re the world’s worst artist. On a grand 26-page scale, it looks so darn cool all together.

Mine will be digitized and turned into wallpaper or the like someday.
